The Rotary District Conference was a huge success and the Rotary Club of Lee's Summit was a HUGE part of it.
Mark Dickey and Ed Lipowicz organized the volunteer project for WAPIS.  Because of their organizational skills and dedication to the project, 300 WAPIS were put together in one hour.  The assemblers were adults to youth and all had a great time.  These WAPIS will be distributed worldwide.

Ed was introduced to PDG Abdul Ahad of Chittagong, Bangladesh.  PDG Ahad took a great interest in the Water Pasterutization Indicators and the process that Ed developed.  They exchanged information and will keep in touch.

Susanne McCambridge and her daughter organized the backpack service project.  Over 100 backpacks were assembled  during the same one hour period.  These backpacks will be distributed to the children who are the victims of the damaging floods that ravaged Northwest Missourians in 2011.
