Kent Shelman is recognized as Club Champion of the Rotary Club of Lee's Summit
Humble Server
Kent Shelman has spent MANY hours researching, creating and presenting history presentations from the last 50 years weekly for our club including fun facts from each year. He presents these at the meeting in a PowerPoint presentation with those fun facts filled in. He also volunteers for almost all of the service projects, and he does this with a heart for service. One example is that he worked for an entire weekend – 8 hours per day – taking up and laying tile at Hope House. He has no agenda. Other projects he assisted with are the Heart of the Summit Run/Walk, the annual golf tournament, this year’s bike ride and many more. While he volunteers, he is a mentor for those who don’t know how to complete a project – at the Hope House project he mentored several young men by showing them how to lay, grout and wash tile. And he does all this with a smile.
